Star Assurance Company launches Online Insurance Service
Star Assurance Company, one of Ghana’s foremost insurance brands has launched a virtual branch in addition to its existing physical branches across the country. This is in line with their business expansion strategy and enhancing distribution of insurance products to its clients.
The virtual branch is internet based and it is accessed via a web link on the Star Assurance website; www.starassurance.com.
Speaking to Mr. Kofi Duffuor, Managing Director of Star Assurance, He stated that this development is one of its kind and it is in line with the company’s strategy of leveraging technology to provide innovation and value added service to our clients and taking insurance much closer to the insuring public.
The Star Assurance E-Insurance platform offers real convenience and smart turnaround time in transacting with our customers. The idea is to make transacting business with our clients and prospects much easier and faster and to make it possible for them to check on their accounts from anywhere and at any time.
The Star Assurance virtual branch offers customers the opportunity to open and own an online account, buy their preferred insurance products such as Motor, Travel, Personal Accident and Comprehensive Homeowner’s policy, all at the click of a button.
According to Mr. Duffuor, he noted that, “We have made everything available online in one place ensuring that our clients are able to buy policies, renew expiring ones, maintain their policies and make payments conveniently and also for us as a company to pay claims online. In order to ensure safe online transaction and guard against fraud, we have put in place a safe and secured IT infrastructure and established partnerships with credible online payment systems such as Mobile Money, Speed Banking, Visa Card, MasterCard, Visa Electron, Discover, American Express and Empower accounts. This is to make the Star Assurance e-insurance service experience as seamless as possible, putting clients in direct control of their insurance accounts”.
